Nature.com is carrying a story of how amateur astronomers are actually <a href="http://www.nature.com/news/2005/050117/full/050117-7.html">delivering
processed raw images</a> before NASA/ESA. There are some really cool images
coming out from these folks, including inferred topographical maps and stitched panoramas.
